Der kommende Standard PCIe 4.0 verdoppelt die Datentransferrate der Schnittstelle bereits, der PCIe-5.0-Nachfolger soll Ähnliches leisten. Hintergrund ist, dass Prozessoren nur eine begrenzte Anzahl an Lanes aufweisen und Hardware immer mehr Bandbreite fordert.

ich finde es erstaunlich das eine so kompetente Institution wie die PCI SIG so lange braucht, um die Schwachstellen dieser Schnittstellen zu erkennen und Lösungen zu erarbeiten

na ja, angekündigt wurde schon viel ich denke z.B. an SATA Express

plötzlich war NVME das Thema und kein Mensch spricht oder schreibt mehr was von SATA Express

SATA Express ist technisch längst überholt, darum ist das Thema vom Tisch

PCI-Express 4.0 und 5.0 sowie NVME sind die Zukunft

aha und warum gibt es dann immer noch Mainboards mit SATA Express Anschlüssen ?

ich denke du solltest dich besser informieren

klick mich an

da steht auch drin warum SATA Express Schnee von gestern ist

das einige Hersteller immer noch SATA Express verlöten spricht nicht für die Hersteller, aber die tun eh einiges was man nicht verstehen muß

wie Tankred schon geschrieben hat, vor 2019 würde ich nicht mit PCI-Express 5.0 rechnen, eher später
