der erweiterte Support (Extended Support) für Windows Vista läuft bald ab, das bedeutet das es nach dem 11. April 2017 keine Sicherheitsupdates mehr geben wird !

Microsoft erweiterter Support Übersicht


das nur zur Info, falls sich jemand wundert warum man nach diesem Datum am Patchday keine Sicherheitsupdates mehr bekommt

warum kommt das für dich überraschend ? Vista stammt aus 2007 und Microsoft hatte schon 2015 geschrieben das bald Schluß sei

das paßt schon

mein Vater will dann wohl auch auf Windows 10 wechseln, oder sagen wir mal besser ich wechsel und er kocht Kaffee Zahnlücke

hat er denn während der kostenlose Phase schon mal upgegradet ?

sonst kann es schwierig werden und er wird sich eine richtige Lizenz kaufen müssen

ja wir haben für ihn noch eine ziemlich neue Samsung SSD mit Windows 8.1 zu liegen, die hatten wir im Sommer auf Windows 10 aktualisiert, also eigentlich ideal

mach dem Papa doch einfach mal klar, dass es am 11. April zum letzten mal Sicherheitsupdates für Windows Vista geben wird, danach steht der Zug in der Endstation

hab ich schon ein Dutzend mal, das bringt nichts und ich hab auch noch mein eigenes Leben

und wie schon erwähnt:

er hat einen fettes gelben Zettel an seinem schwarzen Brett da steht der 11. April drauf

entweder klingelt dann das Telefon oder eben nicht

erweitere den Zetel doch noch

am 11. April soll doch das Creators Update für Windows 10 ausgerollt werden, das wäre ein super Argument für eine Clean Installation bei Papa

tja Leute, ab heute ist finito für Vista

ich hatte es von 2008 bis 2010 auf einem unserer Rechner und muß sagen das war nichts, selten mit sowas trägem gearbeitet und das trotz ausreichend RAM

optisch gut gemacht, aber technisch ne danke

ich hatte mich damals nicht weiter um Vista gekümmrt und wenn ich das was es dazu alles im Netz gibt lese war das wohl auch gut so
