hallo
einige haben ja bestimmt die Windows 8 Preview installiert und getestet
mir ist da eine 350MB Partition aufgefallen, weiß jemand was da alles drinsteckt?

also der Bootloader ist klar, die Verschlüsselungsroutine für Bitlocker auch, aber was macht der Rest?


p.s. toll das ihr schon ein Windows 8 Forum eröffnet habt oki

in der 350MB Partition ist noch ein Recovery Verzeichnis mit dabei
dort sind die neuen Recovery Routinen gespeichert, die sind ja anders als bei Windows 7

es sit so, dass es zwei verschiedene Wiederherstellungsvarianten gibt

1. Refresh, da wird das System so wiederhergestellt, das persönliche Daten und Metro-Apps erhalten bleiben

2. Reset, das soll einer Neuinstallation entsprechen, d.h. Windows 8 wird in seinen Auslieferzustand versetzt, d.h. alle Einstellungen, installierten Programme und persönlichen Daten gehen hierbei verloren.

verantwortlich ist die Datei Winre.wim, in der wird alles gespeichert und die ist auch in der 350MB Partition

in der Datenträgerverwaltung von Windows 8 wird die 350MB Partition nicht angezeigt
die sieht man erst mit dem Disc Director oder Parted Magic

auch das sollte man nicht überbewerten
nicht jedes Flagg ist in der Preview schon so gesetzt, das man alles und jedes gleich sehn muß

die system-reservierte Bootpartition von Windows Vista oder Windows 7 sah man in der ersten Beta damals auch nicht sofort, das zeigten erst spätere builts

eventuell ist da ja auch schon der UEFI Bootloader mit drin

das könnte gut sein, denn normal wird Windows 8 standardmäßig im UEFI Modus installiert

so soll es jedenfalls mal sein
